With his first two solos Diederik van Vleuten wrote theater history, creating a new form of theater. In his third attempt he seeks answer to the question why his father, did not initiate him into the world of sex, drinking, football and money, but rather had his son learn from speeches by Winston Churchill.
Why he more than fifty years after the death of Churchill so often thinks of the legendary leader. By doing so Van Vleuten has created an amusing and confrontational piece of work and is moving way back to the blooming of his colorful family and the estate of the old Winston himself. ”My nights with Churchill” contains a wealth of stories, tasteful decor and polyphonic music.
The backdrop is a seamless one piece print on cotton fabric. Décor by Dennis Verhaeg.
